Bio

In 1989 I resigned my position as Sales Training Manager for Rochester Telephone Corporation’s northeast sales organizations to establish my own consulting and training business. Prior to 1989 I enjoyed success in sales management and sales and technical training. I began my career as an administrative and executive assistant supporting a variety of positions in sales, executive management and law. Through my business, I've served clients as a group facilitator, leadership advisor, business consultant—and since the mid-1990s as an executive coach—in corporate, manufacturing, small business, financial, not-for-profit, academic, and health care environments. My primary goal is to serve my clients as a catalyst who sparks individual leaders to higher levels of performance through measurable improvement of their leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and coaching skills.

For eight years I was an instructor at St. John Fisher College’s Office of Professional Development. I served as President of the Genesee Valley Society of Training and Development. I also served as President of the Rochester Women’s Network. I'm one of a team of professional coaches invited to participate in the University of Rochester Simon School’s MBA and EMBA programs, providing the coaching experience for students as part of their leadership development. In addition to my 10-year-old GET REAL blog on leadership and life, I've had over 35 articles published on leadership and workplace behaviors (Rawady, Donna. Five Key Strategies for Leading and Managing Change, Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester, NY 2015; Rawady, Donna. Profitability Requires a Leader’s Sharp Focus, Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester, NY, 2014; Rawady, Donna. Integrity Matters, Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester, NY, 2011; Globalization and Technology—Their Impact on Life Balance, Business Strategies Magazine, Rochester, NY, 2006; Positioning: Leading Others Through Change, e-bim, June 2008).

I've enjoyed presenting at several local professional organizations and national conferences including: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); United Way Annual Conferences; American Society for Training and Development (ASTD); Deloitte & Touche Wise Women; Monroe County Medical Society; New York State Medical Society; INPACT Americas; Rochester Women’s Network; International Association of Administrative Professionals; The Council of Independent Colleges; Rochester Institute of Technology’s Women’s Career Leadership Workshops/Panels; and The Rochester Business Journal Women's Leadership Summit.
